MCM Services Group
January 2002 - May 2019
As the creative director at MCM Services Group, I was part of growing the company from nothing to a peak of $12million in revenue. From its earliest days as a start-up, I was involved in developing the creative department as well as directing all outgoing messaging. This included email marketing using Constant Contact, hosting webinars using Webex and developing marketing materials for conferences.
I led a team of three including a social media marketing specialist, a web designer and a video production specialist. I was involved in coordinating omnichannel marketing campaigns with responsibilities that included writing and designing B2C storyboards for television commercials, social media, websites and print ads as well as marketing materials to promote the company.

Minnetonka Center for the Arts
This was my first real marketing job out of college. The art center has grown a lot in the past 25 years, but when I was there in the late 1990s, it was a scrappy little operation. Everyone had a title, but the scope of you did went well beyond what was listed in the job description.
My responsibilities were divided into three areas: marketing, assisting with daily operations and helping out as needed during events. This included writing and designing the art center newsletter, promotional materials for exhibitions and fundraiser events.
I also assisting the registrar, program director and development director as needed as well as filling in as an instructor for the summer kids program when teachers called in sick.
"We hired Dan as our Creative Director and owe a large part of our success to his expertise, creativity and work ethic. Dan designed and wrote great copy for print ads, web copy and other creative copy for MCM and our clients. Over the next several years he used his connections from his time working at a local TV station to successfully navigate us into television commercials and later on-line media--when this medium was first gaining traction. With MCM's continued financial growth, Dan quickly built a team of freelancers, who later became employees, to take us to the next level of client acquisition and company growth. In addition to his role as Creative Director, Dan became our de facto Office Manager, thanklessly taking on many unrelated company tasks that were necessary for the expansion of our client base. In short, Dan was vitally instrumental to the growth and success of MCM. He would be a valuable asset to any company."
